LOG IN ISSUES/WebSite SSL Improvements

Effective 9-10-24 We have installed a Security Certificate (SSL) on our website. This is due to customers have experienced log-in issues and Google is not allowing websites to be found on the internet without this. We understand that we may experience minor issues until all bugs are worked out.  If you are experiencing log-In or display issues please follow the below instructions relating to Displaying A Secure Website.

We do appologize for any inconveniences that this may have caused BUT we are always striving to provide the best online auction experience for YOU !!


DISPLAYING A SECURE WEBSITE-

1.  Log out of your account

2.  Clear alll CACHE files from your browser  (See instructions in section below)

3.  Close browser once the CACHE files have been deleted

4.  Reopen your Browser & log back into JNJ Online Auction website.  You should now be in the secure website

 

** The CACHE files must be deleted because, with these files still there, your computer would automatically revert back to the unsecure settings of the site.

 

>>  If, after following the above, you still experience issues please call our Help Line at 877MYJNJOA (877-695-6562), Select option 0.

 

 

Having issues logging in? Try to clear your CACHE files first. Follow the steps below for your browser:

In Chrome
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.
  7. Close the browser, then reopen and go to JNJ Online Auction to log in
Delete cache and cookies in Microsoft Edge
  1. Open Microsoft Edge, select Menu (3 dots icon on top right corner of the browser) > Settings > Privacy & services.
  2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.
  3. Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" check box and then select Clear.
  4. Close the browser, then reopen and go to JNJ Online Auction to log in

 

Clear the cache from FireFox
  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Preferences. ...
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data….
  4. Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data. ...
  5. With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.
  6. Close the browser, then reopen and go to JNJ Online Auction to log in

 

In the Safari browser (Apple devices):

  1. Click on the Safari menu in the top left hand corner next to the Apple symbol
  2. Click on  Settings...
  3. A new dialogue box will open
  4. Click Privacy
  5. Click on the Manage Website Data button
  6. To remove any cached data and cookies from your computer, click Remove all
  7. A new dialogue box will open
  8. Click Remove Now
  9. Wait a few moments, then click Done
  10. Close the dialogue box remaining
  11. Press Command +Q to quit Safari

 

If the above steps do not work then call 877MYJNJOA (877-695-6562) and select option 0 for Technical Support.

Searching - There are two ways to seach for items, Basic Search and Advanced Search.

Basic Search - Accessible from both the Home Page and Browse.

  • Enter Keywords, Item #, or Username

  • Select appropriate search parameter

    • Title & Description

    • Item #

    • User

  • Click "Search" button

Advanced Search - Accessible by clicking the "Advanced Search" button on the Home Page

The following options are available for the Advanced Search:

  • Load Saved Search - Use a previously saved search.

  • Category - Select a specific item category or "All Categories."

  • Search - Enter Keywords or Item #. To search Title & Descriptions check the appropriate box.
    The following options are available for keyword search:

    • All of these words

    • Any of these words

    • Exactly these words

  • Item Options - Used to search custom item fields. Example: ISBN # for textbooks.

  • Refine Your Search - Narrow the search. Reduce the number of search results by setting specific searchable properties.

    • Price Range

    • Start Date

    • End Date

    • Words to Exclude

    • Listing type

      • Auction

  • Display Format - How to organize the items your search returns.

    • Items Ending First - Items with the least ammount of time left first.

    • Items Ending Last - Items with the longest ammount of time left first.

    • Newest Items First - Items with the most recent start date.

    • Oldest Items First - items with the oldest start date.

    • Lowest Price First

    • Highest Price First

    • Most Bids First

    • Least Bids First

    • Alphabetically

    • Reverse Alphabetically
